"Policemen who want to tie the knot and who are assigned at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office are encouraged to participate in a mass wedding ceremony to be conducted next month at Camp Alfredo Montelibano," said Police Chief Inspector Jefferson Descallar, Noppo chief Police Community Relations Branch.

Descallar said the requirements for interested PNP and Non-uniformed personnel to qualify for the mass wedding include a marriage license or marriage certificate for civilly married and a joint affidavit, for those living together for five years, baptismal and confirmation certificates for marriage purposes within six months; groom's status of liberty and, bride's permit to marry and certificate of attendance of pre-marriage instruction seminar (to be conducted by the Parish at Noppo).
Said requirements must be submitted at least 10 days before the scheduled date of wedding, said Noppo spokesman Police Chief Inspector Rico Santotome Jr.
"It is high time for unmarried police personnel who are living together with their partners to have their marriage blessed by the Church officially," said NOPPO director Police Senior Superintendent Manuel Felix.
