MBLC Stallions A Team prevailed over the University of St. La Salle, 83-75, in the 19 under category of the Pueblo Rosario Summer Basketball Tournament last May 26.
It was a seesaw battle in the first half marked by four lead changes. Coach Mike Lim's backcourt trioka of Jordan Padilla, Darwin Sadie and CJ Ramos proved steadier down the home stretch while AJ Villaroman and Hobart Bautista, Jr. took care of offense with 22 each for the Stallions.
Micheal Castor carried the Junior Stingers's cause with 16 points and 7 assists. Eman Sevilla and Boy Cuadra also contributed 17 each for the La Sallians who used this summer league to get more experience.
Villaroman was named MVP and joined Mythical Five awardees CJ Ramos (Stallion Team A), Sevilla (La Salle), Toto Zagado (Davies Paints), Jason Espejo (Stallions B Team)
