Wednesday’s meeting will tackle the status of teams outside Negros that have been invited by the NBA to compete in this year’s edition of the tournament which was won last year by Iloilo-based Ticel Corporation of businessman Tito Lopez.
Among the teams that were invited outside of Negros Occidental are the Adamson University Falcons mentored by coach Leo Austria, MP Gensan Warriors of boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, Toyota Iloilo of businessman Robert Uy, and the Misamis Oriental Meteors of Gov. Oscar Moreno.
Meanwhile, some of the teams that have confirmed participation this year are last year’s losing finalist and reigning NOPSSCEA champion West Negros University Mustangs, University of St. La Salle Stingers, Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod Eagles, and University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Rams, Cadiz City Whales, Province of Negros Occidental and La Carlota City Iron Dinosaurs, among others.
