Noy-Mar headquarters in Bacolod launched

SOME 1,000 supporters, family friends, and local leaders including former public officials joined for the official launch dubbed “Yellow Party” of Noy-Mar political campaign headquarters at the Annex Building of Lopue’s Mandalagan at 6 p.m. Monday.

Judy Araneta-Roxas, the Negrense mother of vice presidential candidate Senator Manuel “Mar” Roxas asked the Negrense people their support to her son who is running in tandem with Liberal Party standard bearer Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

Roxas who hails from the Araneta clan of Bago City joined the volunteers for Noy and Mar who celebrated Aquino’s (Noynoy’s) birthday also Monday, which was highlighted by the inauguration and blessings of the headquarters.

The volunteer groups hanged their banners and tarpaulins along with the official banner of the Party the entire headquarters’ vicinity.

“I am very grateful that we have many volunteers here in Bacolod and Negros and it’s also happening all over the country that volunteers just group themselves together and help the team of Noynoy and Mar. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the organizers. I am happy that I have many relatives and friends here so I know that Mar will be cared of here very well. I am also asking your support for Noynoy as it is important that he will also win”, Roxas appealed.

Roxas also believed that Noynoy would maintain the momentum of support he was getting that encouraged and made him decide to run for the presidency. “I believe that very soon the voice of the volunteers will be heard and that Noynoy would go back to the rating he had before. In other surveys Noynoy’s rating is higher. I really believe that he is doing very well. I believe that his ratings will go back to the numbers he had before”, she said.

The Liberal Party will start their campaign sorties at the hometown of Aquino in Tarlac. Roxas said after Noynoy’s hometown, they will proceed to their hometown in Western Visayas.

Roxas also assured that if the Aquino-Roxas tandem would win in this coming election, “we would have a government that we can be proud of…it’s time that we go out and do something to change our country.”

Present were former governor Daniel “Bitay” Lacson, former board member Victor Puey, and Senatorial lineups of Liberal Party Negrense lawyer Alex Lacson, Bukidnon Representative Neric Acosta, and Dr. Martin Bautista, youth volunteers, and others.
