As I See It

For lack of evidence and by operations of law, the cat is out of the hat. The bail posted gives former Pres. GMA temporary freedom although some claim that she is still under house arrest. Well, some charges are still waiting for her.
As a congresswoman now, she may opt to attend the regular session in the Lower House. She may become an active participant on the floor. She may regroup her allies for strategic planning and consolidation of forces for the 2013 elections. Her snipers may start shooting at the loopholes of the Aquino Administration. We can almost predict turbulence ahead.
With the change in political landscape, we can also foreshadow events in the near future. There will be the resurrection of old colorful issues involving GMA and Tito Mike. GMA’s first day outside of the hospital was already met by welcome groups of those who hate her and those who love her.
Some propagandists will again bring to the frontline the NBN-ZTE issue, the NAIA–3 scandals, the Diwalwal-ZTE question, military corruption, problems in the Spratlys, election fraud, Chinese poaching, and the pork barrel rolling. It is believed that GMA had a hand in all these because certain heights were reached during her administration.
Expect Joey de Venecia to fill in the gap again for the second part of his whistle blowing and Jun Lozada for the reenactment of his classic kidnapping. You see the events are just like the movies. Before, they were just in technicolor but now, they have been re-mastered for 3-D presentation. I am not concerned on the cinematic showmanship. I am worried because the actors of less importance go to jail. Some are like fugitives. They hide in their eardrums.
The Piatco mess will again go back to its origin. This was signed during the term of Pres. Fidel V. Ramos. This was onerously revised under Erap and PGMA ditched it in 2002. This would be a colorful, political curtain in 2013 elections because thespian actors are involved here. This brouhaha brought our country to the world’s box office because this involved Philippine anti-dummy laws. This resulted in the murder of an Assistant Solicitor General.
And we got this Mining Act of 1995 which was somehow made a reference to cover up the illegal grant of mining rights to ZTE Corp involved in the Diwalwal gold mine. The rushed privatization for mining orchestrated by the Arroyo Administration attempted to bid out 729 hectares of the gold-rush site. This was only stopped in 2010 by the PNoy Administration. No proper investigation has been conducted yet.
Senator Trillanes may again blush because GMA will remind him of the “Games of the General.” The beloved generals flushed out wealth from the coffers of the AFP. Trillanes for sure will not settle for plea bargain.
Like zombies, issues on Kalayaan Isles and the many shoals in our territory will keep on coming back as long as China is there as the Big Bully. Our senators and congressmen will always remember GMA’s sweet deal with China. Election anomaly phantom will never leave the electorate. FPJ could have been the King President if not for that Hello Garci incident.
Chinese poachers will always be remembered as long as the business bluff is always there. It will be a volleyball issue between PNoy and GMA because of our government’s weak position against intrusions. And there is the Mindanao ancestral domain concern that remains unresolved. The pork barrel is still porky. It gives growth to election fraud and political dynasties.
Huge hype and mesmerizing events are about to happen. Mercurial temperament will pave the way for gore and neo-medievalism in the Philippine politics. I am not preaching to ruin your taste. I just want you to emote. Sometimes it’s good to be jingoistic.
