THE easiest way to satisfy food lovers is through special food treats and the All-You-Can-Eat which is not common in the provinces. But many restaurants believe that the only way for their food loving clients would be able to taste a bit of everything is by way of the buffet.

It’s just timely that Mely’s Garden Restaurant is offering its August FoodFest with Monday-Wednesday-Friday “Kasag kag Talaba Nights.” And there is also their “Roast Beef and Lechon Nights” every Tuesday and Saturday.

Well, this is a good treat for Negrenses who go for either the beef or the seafood galore.

On Thursdays, Mely’s Garden has its “Thursday Eat-All-You-Can Dinner” and it is amazing with their unlimited ice cream and bottomless iced tea ready for everyone.

***

As many have observed, this is a good idea that the restaurant is doing because it hastens dining time without waiting for the food to be cooked.

With restaurants coming up, what is most important is the quality of food that is being served. For me, I hate when a restaurant is too selfish to serve purified water for free. The owners would instead serve water with chlorine from under the ground. A five-gallon jar of purified water is only twenty five pesos and a concerned restaurateur should not be too shrewd not to give cleaner drinking water.

Toilets are most important in restaurants. Even in shopping malls, department stores and groceries, the owners must also invest in giving their shoppers clean—and we mean really clean—and sanitary toilets. We don’t call them restrooms or comfort rooms if you could not relax nor be comfortable inside that toilet. Where is City Health?

In Iloilo City, Plazuela de Iloilo maintains clean toilets always for their restaurant customers. Even ferry terminals should not take for granted their toilets.

Airport toilets must also be clean. At the Bacolod-Silay Airport, oftentimes there are is no toilet paper. The passengers are paying two hundred pesos and they deserve the services demanded of an airport terminal. This is also true at Iloilo Airport. Many could not comprehend why government services are really poor in many scenarios.
