DPWH Bacolod, have the heart

-A A +A

THIS was what a Sum-ag resident motorist who drives his car daily going to work in the city said. He is referring the craters in the highway near Sum-ag in front of Petron before you reach the bridge if you travel from Tangub.

The road is full of pot holes and residents of Bacolod could not understand why DPWH officials could not share some of their asphalt material in their drums and have it paved temporarily. To say that the road will be under works would not mean that DPWH would allow the suffering of motorists driving that route until the project is officially done. So the residents are asking DPWH to have that little heart so that its personnel can have work to do also. Thank you in advance, says the motorists.

The Thunderbugs Bacolod Motorcycle Club members of ten recently arrived from Kuching, Malaysia where they represented the Philippines in the Asian Convention of Big Bikers. It is worth noting that the first Asian Federation Convention will be held in the Philippines next April at Dakak Park and Beach Resort, to be hosted by Congressman Bullet Jalosjos of the Dapitan Brotherhood of Big Bikers. This effort was initiated by NFMC and Thunderbugs Chairman Manolet Lamata supported by his circle of Big Bikers, among them Rolando Ting of Cebu, and Bacolod’s Bingbong Escamilla, Lito Aves, Winnie Flores, to name a few.

The roads in the south of Bacolod from Sum-ag to the highways of Bago City are now in top shape. The roads are expected to have a life of more than fifteen years as the proper asphalting process is being applied on the road. Funds for this good project come from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development under IBRD Loan No. 7552-PH and are expected to be finished by December by its contractor Qingjian Group CO. Ltd. for a contract price of P340 million plus. Thanks to all those responsible for paving a good highway.
