Don Salvador Benedicto gears for Tourism Efforts-A A +A
Thursday, September 5, 2013
MANY are now looking towards the vision of Don Salvador Benedicto (DSB) as another destination as far as tourism is concerned. This scenic municipality of the Province of Negros Occidental connects to the last city of the province, San Carlos City where you could travel by sea to Cebu Island.
If things are in place it is of significant endeavour that Don Salvador Benedicto town, more called its acronym as DSB, will move up to be a tourism destination. This is a priority program of Mayor Jomax Ortiz who is gearing DSB with an enthusiastic move to promote its Delightful Scenic Beauty.
As Mayor Ortiz is serious in his tourism plans, the directions will surely benefit the resident of the municipality as revenues will enter the destination. As seen, the town just needs more push from the leadership and its appreciation will further the desire to make DSB truly a destination. For sure, Mayor Ortiz has a vision for his municipality and a push towards a positive effect in the tourism programs will become a reality soon.
Big bikers and auto clubs have plans to drive the uplands of DSB and this would help in the town’s tourism programs. What are important are the basic strategic approaches. For sure, the Mayor has a good circle of tourism brains with creativity who will help him as long as he sees a bright prospect for his town. Kudos to you Sir.
Mambukal Mountain resort is another destination. But we see the need to upscale the facilities that could be within international standards. While it is run properly by the provincial government, there is a better to run it by professional teams who understand resort management and a relatively sound marketing direction. The resort is worth the while to invest into; but it should be professionally run like a corporate undertaking.
That creative marketing concept should also be true to the Buenos Aires Mountain Resort in Bago City. It is a government-run tourism establishment. But there is the need to infuse it with a professional resort management approach with facilities that could run into the basic international standards of the property.
