Editorial: Over, not done-A A +A

CERTAINLY, legal battles between the camps of former mayor and incumbent lone district solon, Evelio Leonardia, and incumbent Mayor and erstwhile Bacolod representative, Monico Puentevella, have just started to heat up.
At the rate events are unfolding, there is no stopping the two – or at least their pawns and political lieutenants – from looking at the single possibility of “getting back” at each other, by hook or by crook, come hell or high waters.
And the latest to be dragged into these legal battles are Bacolod Government Center department heads Mary Jean Ramos, formerly the City Planning and Development Office head, and Gilda Luisima, former officer-in-charge of the Human Resource Management and Development Office.
These two had claimed to have been unceremoniously demoted or were victims of constructive dismissal.
Leonardia had expressed agreement to the decision taken by these two department heads to lodge cases against his political nemesis, be it criminal, civil, or could even be administrative.
This would only mean to say that what the public may expect from Leonardia and Puentevella are mere sweet words after winning, but in truth and in reality, the wide gap between them is widening, and even worsening.
The public may simply expect for more squabble between these two honorables, who were duly elected by them.
For Leonardia and Puentevella, the elections may be over, but it’s not done between them as far as politics is concerned.
