Hanging Bridge Between Negros and Guimaras?-A A +A
Hear, Dare and Every Ware
Tuesday, September 17, 2013
A GROUP of foreign Triple A contractors arrived in Bacolod last Sunday to evaluate the possibility of three projects: to build a hanging bridge between Negros and Iloilo passing thru Guimaras Island; reclamation of one hundred hectares in Bgy. Palaka, Valladolid; and a hanging bridge between San Carlos City and Toledo, Cebu. That could be a great ease if these dreams will become reality. Surely the funds will come from the World Bank and not from the pork barrels of politicians since the construction might be sub-standard and unreliable because some money will go to personal pockets. Is this true, Mr. Senators?
Drainage Project in Sum-ag Creating Traffic Horror
Calling the contractor of the drainage project at the corner of Sum-ag Highway and Abuanan road. Sugar cane trucks are now passing thru Abuanan Road and you left the mountains of soil at the corner. Will the BTAO, TMU, Congressional Office please call the contractor and remove all those? How dare you leave those piles disturbing traffic? Where is the traffic chief?
Better Traffic Flow now, But...
Kudos to the civilian men who are helping the BTAO and TMU do a better job because if you leave it to the BTAO, nothing will happen. The deployment of traffic enforcers are well noted and appreciated by the motorists. BUT what is important is that drivers should obey the traffic laws even if the enforcers are not around. These enforcers should not remain as daily watch dogs. What BTAO should do now is let the traffic flow as usual and apprehend those who continue to violate. This is where discipline starts. Do not be afraid as this is just a start. Then everyone follows. Politicians will not lose votes. They will even gain more as proven by Bayani Fernando and Rodrigo Duterte. Say mo, Dick Gordon?
Slow Bridge Construction in Bago Highway
The bridge construction along the Bago Highway is very, very slow. This is not funded by the pork barrels by the Senatongs and the Tongressmen. This is an IBRD-World Bank funded project so money is not a problem. Who is in charge here, Mr. Chinese contractor?*
