Leaving for Thailand Today-A A +A
Thursday, September 19, 2013
AS YOU read this column, I am flying over from Bacolod to Manila via Cebu Pacific Air to have another travel experience onward to Thailand tonight. One destination is Phuket in Thailand.
I am grateful for the invitation of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) for this opportunity where I will be giving focus to observe the tourism and travel activities of the destination with some focus on how they organize activities and events and promote their respective activities in their land.
Another aspect of the visit is to learn their traffic and road management practices and enforcements and which I could learn more and input to my brains and make use of them when some parties are interested to make use of what I have learned since my Cebu days where I learned traffic system until my own close friend Bayani “BF” Fernando of Marikina City and the MMDA taught me closely how to do the job we both have passion for.
Mayor Jomax Ortiz of Don Salvador Benedicto recently held a tree planting activity in his town to emphasize on the value of reforestation and avoiding nature’s flooding activity when one’s place is already naked of trees and greens. Mayor Ortiz is now on the verge of further promoting his municipality so that the residents and visiting public will be able to enjoy the greenery and scenery of that destination. Keep up the good work, Mayor Jomax. We support your directions.
We heard that for the MassKara Festival, the public plaza fronting the San Sebastian Cathedral will now be free of those vendors plying their wares. Word says that these vendors are not from here but arranged by a contracting party to sell their wares. Whoever persons are behind this amusing business making Bacolod like a funny sort vending in front of the Cathedral, may God bless you more this time for not distracting the Church.*
