New investment-A A +A

THE province adds to its list another investment as imported car brand Peugeot enters the market for Negrenses, opening its showroom in Talisay City along the highway just beside the existing BMW showroom.
This is the kind of news that we want to hear in the press where business development is the focus and employment and investments come into the province, said a provincial official. Talisay City Mayor Doc Eric Saratan is a beneficiary of this investment as the business is within his city.
Peugeot has been in the market for decades and has recently launched its entry into the Philippine automotive market with a strong marketing thrust giving car buyers the worth of their money. Peugeot is distributed in the province by a company managed by a young general manager Kalene Roleda and her brother Alex Roleda, who also spearhead the investment in luxury automobiles and motorbikes of BMW. Congratulations to both of you, Miss Kalene and Sir Alex.
Beer drinkers, this time were gathered at 21 Restaurant and their topic was traffic and waste management which, they said, are the re-focused agenda of Mayor Monico Puentevella for the coming year. We see a lot of traffic enforcers and some improvements in the traffic situation but it is not to the people’s expectation. There is more that can be done, said a golfer from Sta. Clara Subdivision.
Whoever are those in charge of traffic management of the city should also review if the traffic enforcers are really qualified, insisted the insurance man who always drives around the city.
When waste management and landfill was the topic, the group said that they read in the papers that the city plans to send people to observe in Marikina and other cities. This is a nice move and they will learn from the real situation, stressed a car dealer.
Having listened to their talks, it is good for the waste management idea, but it is far better to invite former Marikina City mayor and Metro Manila Development Authority chair Bayani “BF” Fernando to come over and discuss the matter. There could be better focus.
On my part, I know my close friend and Boss BF is also a good friend of our dear Mayor Monico. I could help invite him though he is busy with his multi-billion project of building schoolrooms. He won’t refuse. He told me that he used Bacolod City as a model to reform Marikina years, years back.
