LAST Thursday, the prestigious Thunderbugs Bacolod Motorcycle Club held its turn-over rites and golden anniversary celebration at Sugarland Hotel with former banker and big biker Lito Aves sworn in as club president.

This club is composed of motorcycle enthusiasts who ride the most elegant big bikes in the world usually on Sundays and holidays, and ride by hundreds of kilometers as their leisure moment. Congratulations to Lito Aves, president; Gerard Mora and Bumpy Coscolluela, vice presidents for socials and rides; Owen Ong, vice president for logistics, operations and finance; Hernan Fermin, vice president for internal affairs and secretary; and Emick Martir, secretary. Club chairman is Manolet Lamata while Philip Garcia is vice chairman.

Last month I was privileged to be invited by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to be part of the nine-member Philippine delegation to visit and enjoy Thailand.

Flying via Thai Airways handled by Fannie Galang, we were privileged to taste the hospitality treat of the Business Class. We were all pampered starting with a hot face towel, followed by newspapers, and before the plane flew, the courteous attendants made us select our meal with choices from prawns, steaks, salmon, and more. Generous slices of cheese and bread were on hand. Of course, all types of beverages one can find in the classiest bars were offered to us. I opted for tomato juice all the way.

This could make a passenger want to make his trip last longer to enjoy such Business Class treat.

TAT’s Milky Evangelista and Fannie Galang were a great pair that made our trip to Bangkok enjoyable just to discover that Thailand is just as safe as before and ever. Find time to visit Bangkok, or Phuket in Thailand and truly it is clean, peaceful, and enjoyable.
