THE Oplan Red Plate Task Force will resume operations after June 30, said the Office of the Ombudsman-Visayas.

The task force is composed of the Commission on Audit (COA), Civil Service Commission, Land Transportation Office, Philippine Information Agency and the Philippine National Police in strong collaboration with the Ombudsman.

The task force has been at the forefront of running after government' misuse of vehicles that yielded already positive results as many government "illegal operations" have been recorded.

The Ombudsman said it will kick off with their operations after the newly-elected local chief executives (LCEs) and other elected officials assume their respective posts.

Also earlier, the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Energy Audit Team (EAT), which is under the Office of the President reminded all National Government agencies (NGAs) and local government unit (LGU) administrative officers to "observe the proper use of government vehicles."

The Office of the Ombudsman-Visayas in 2009 received 100 complaints on improper use of government vehicles through text and eight complaints through email, and those complaints were filed in Cebu office for administrative proceedings, a report from a government press agency said.
