SPECIAL guest Gerry Peñalosa, former world bantamweight champion, will be at ringside to greet Negrense fans when the Boxing Blow by Blow returns at the Goldenfield Casino Filipino Hotel on May 30.
Eight professional bouts will entertain boxing afficionados starting at 2 p.m. as JR Eagle Promotions, in cooperation with the Pagcor and Games and Amusement Board commissioner Monju Guanzon, give Bacolenos a respite from election hangover.

Guanzon Stable regulars Mike Espanosa, Arthur Villanueva, Janjan Guanzon, Kevin dela Cruz, Ryan Sermona, Jerry Nardo and Junjun Sabillo face equally tough opponents a total of 50 rounds in different weight categories if fights go the distance.
Undefeated flyweight and rated number 2 in RP, "El Matador" Villanueva will slug it out with Nikong Calamba of Butuan City in 10 rounds of the 112 lbs division.
"D Hitman", son of Rev. Henry Guanzon, will square off with Ranel Suko of Agusan del Norte in 8 rounds. The undefeated Jr. featherweight will use his 122 lb-frame and reach advantage to the hilt over his fellow slugger.
Another undefeated, "Tiger" Sabillo will encounter Mike Rodriguez of General Santos City in the 105 lbs. category. The local miniflyweight is rated number 1 in RP and is expected to breeze past the Gensan slugger in 10 rounds.
Espanosa is scheduled for 6 rounds against Ruben Magno of the Clavel Stable in Iloilo City. Other 6 rounders, pit "D Great" dela Cruz against Jojo Arnado of Valencia City, Bukidnon. The Pride of Himamaylan, Sermona will try to make a name for himself when he faces Rolando Omila of Midsayap, Cotabato.
The only 4-rounder is Jerry Nardo at 122 lbs. who will test the punches of John Rey Solis of Tinagan Stable-Iloilo City.
Tickets sold at the Casino are pegged at P150 for ringside and P50 for upper box.
