AS EXPECTED, Sabado Club-USLS Alumni composed mainly of former University of  
St. La Salle Varsity players stamped its class to claim the Women’s Class B title in easy fashion against Silay City, 25-12, 25-21, 25-20 of the 2nd Bro.  
Ceci Hojilla Memorial Cup Volleyball Championship on Sunday at University of St. La Salle College Covered Court Sunday.

Former RP Youth campaigner Michelle Amalia Soledad “Miking” Ortigosa of the champion team was adjudged the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP).
 
Provincial Capitol Employees placed 3rd after losing to Silay City in a knockout match, 11-25, 9-25, 12-25. University of St. La Salle Nursing-CAS placed 4th in the same division. 
 
Meanwhile, the championship round for Class B men and Class A Men and Women might be scheduled today after revision of schedules due to legal holiday on Friday, according to Tournament Director Malot Lozada. 

Murcia Voleybal Club bowed to NCTV-Silay City,25-17, 25-19, 18-25 & 25-17 in  
Class B Men to claim third place after beating Provincial Captol Employees,  
22-25, 25-19,25-21,19-25 & 15-12. Murcia had the chance to challenge NCTV-Silay after posting two wins against MAW, 27-29,22-25,25-27 & 23-25 and  USLS-CAS,  
24-26,22-25,25-27 Saturday.  
 
In Men’s Class A bracket, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos beat  
University of St. La Salle-Alumni and Colegio San Agustin- Bacolod, 25-16,  
25-22, 25-23 and 25-18, 22-25, 25-15, 25-12 respectively Saturday but lost to  
University of St. La Salle twice yesterday, 25-16, 25-9,19-25,25-13 and 25-13,  
25-20, 14-25 & 29-27. 
 
The tournament is a year-round project of NOVA under Roger A. Banzuela in order to help develop volleyball competitions in the province and other key cities with participation from various volleyball clubs for them to become competitive.  
 
The event, with Ms. Malot Lozada as tournament director is also sponsored by Mr. Gener M. Dungo, Vice President of Philippine Volleyball Federation (PVF), Joeve and Monica dela Cruz of New Jersey, Mrs. Susan Banzuela of New York City, USLS College Varsity Sports Office.
