Salisi gangs hit 3 persons

THREE persons were victimized by salisi gangs Friday afternoon in separate incidents in Bacolod.

Police records show that Virgilia Ebon, 57, and Norena Dalumpines, 39, both residents of Purok Pagla-um, Barangay 17, Bacolod City were hit by members of the salisi gangs.

The complainants told to policea certain Jun-Jun De Ocampo allegedly identify himself as lending collector of Sunrise Lending at Corner Ramilo, Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City.

They claimed that the suspect asked for their valid IDs, cedula and P250 in cash for processing fee and told them to wait until 5:30 p.m. for their loan but the suspect never returned.

On the other hand, Carmela Bacolod, 34, of 27th Calamba Streets, Barangay 1, Bacolod City also complained that a certain Randy Vargas came to her house and introduced himself as an inspector of Central Negros Electric Cooperative. He informed her that her application for temporary electric service connection was already approved.

Bacolod said the suspect asked P2,500 for the purchase of materials to install the electric meter. She said she gave the money to her construction worker identified as Jobert Padillo of Barangay Mandalagan, whom she asked to buy the said materials.

Padillo reportedly rode in the black Honda motorcycle of the suspect who took the money. The suspect allegedly dropped Padillo at ETCS Rodriguez Avenue and told him to wait but the suspect never returned. The motorcycle, Bacolod said, had no registration plate.
