SubscribePolice Chief Inspector Rico Santotome Jr, spokesman of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, was the resource person and judge in the Newswriting and Sportswriting competition.
The said competition was held Wednesday at the Division Schools Press Conference at Passi National High School Amphitheater, Iloilo City.

Santotome, formerly a campus journalist, was invited by Ma Febe Cang, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Schools Division Superintendent of Passi City.
He spoke and discussed campus journalism among 400 elementary and high school students.
Santotome provided the participants with the basic knowledge in writing news stories as well as on sports.
After the lecture, the student-participants entered in a newswriting and sportswriting competition as part of the screening process of the district in selecting their representative for the Regional Schools Press Conference in December.
