Meanwhile, in the mixed doubles, Nikki alongside Christian Crisostomo spoiled close rivals Iloilo’s Riezel Pintor and JC Clarito, 17-21, 21-14, 21-15.

The Negros squad also swept all categories both in the secondary and elementary levels.

With Nikki were her Cadiz City teammates Chessa Mae Arino and Dianne Bibiano, who both eventually grabbed the secondary doubles plum.

The victory of the Negros squad will again boost the region’s chances in the forthcoming Palarong Pambansa.

Also, right after the regional competition, Servando will again represent the country as she is set to see action in the Badminton Asia Confederation Youth Under 19 Badminton Championship 2010 on March 21 to 28, 2010 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

She was officially selected by the Philippine Badminton Association to don the national colors against the top players from China, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Hongkong, Taipei, India and others.
