THE 19th St. Joseph High School-La Salle (SJS-LS) Alumni bowling tournament will be exciting as different teams in Group A and B will clash in the up-the-ladder championship at the Lopue's East Bowling Centre, Bacolod City on Saturday.
In Group A, the teams vying for the title were Eric Buyco-led Batch 84 who have the twice-to-beat advantage, while Batch '69, Batch '85, Batch '75 and Batch '78 figured in a knock-out match for the right to face the top seed.

In Group B, Batch 88/2001 Combined spearheaded by Minnie Chua and Kris Robles earned the same incentives as Batch '84. Four other teams vying for the opportunity to challenge Chua's group in the final showdown are Batch '81, Batch '68, Batch '79, and Batch 83.
In the first game, Batch '69 clashed against Class '85 in Bracket A, while Batch '81 tangled with Batch '68 in Group B.
Batch '85 president Amy Leyes, of the organizing group said the champion in two divisions will then clash for the grand championship trophy in a knock-out match.
Early as this, organizer set another tournament for the 2nd Conference SJS-LS Alumni Bowling Tournament to open on August 21 at the same venue and will be hosted by Class '70 headed by incoming 2011 commissioner, Joe Cusay.
