Dennis Develos, principal of Alangilan National High School, expressed his gratitude to Henry Sy Sr., the founder and owner of SM Group of Companies. He said the classroom will be used by the graduating students of the school so they experience the comfort of its facilities.

Joy Descaya, principal of Vagres, said the SM classrooms will be occupied by the Grade 5 class. They are now fully decorated with materials useful for learning.

The P2.2-million school buildings of SM are equipped with teacher’s desks, blackboards, armchairs, wall fans, wall clocks and fitted with
toilets with running water. SM Foundation will likewise undertake the maintenance of the school buildings yearly.

This project aims to help the government’s campaign to improve the quality of public school education through the adopt-a-school program of the Department of Education.
