Bays Club, led by former PBA player Vernie Villarias, collides with dangerous La Carlota in the other 40-Up semis match at 2:30 p.m. Negros Professionals Athletic Club and Real Med dispute the other 50-Up final slot at 4 p.m. at the same venue in Barangay Alijis this city.
League commissioner Nene Lapore thanked Sharp, through Bing Soyao, for its support and commitment to sports. The age group competition, which started November 2011, could have ended shortly and an embarrassment to the organizers for luck of funds.
The original sponsors, who graced the opening ceremonies, not only failed its promise to bankroll the league but also gave its tournament people the run around, Lapore said.
