MS Tablet repulse Davies/Mang Inasal

MS TABLET defeated Davies/Mang Inasal, 86-71, to top bracket B in the ongoing Bacolod Tay Tung High School Alumni Cagefest at the Po Hang Gym.

MS Tablet started strong in the first quarter as Joseph Don Hugo sizzled with 17 points and Brian Tan added 7 points to lead their team to an early 34-6 lead.

In the second quarter, Davies/Mang Inasal cut the lead as Kenneth Cusay and Bobby Yap scored 12 points and 10 points, respectively, to outlast MS Tablet 27 points to 14 points.

The half ended with MS Tablet leading 48-33.

In the third quarter, Davies/Mang Inasal's Ian Moyani, Victor Go, Renz Campos and Beboy Yap launched a fast game but Peter Galon 8 points and Johnnyson Yu 7 points carried MS Tablet to a 67 - 57 lead to enter the fourth quarter.

In the final quarter, Davies/Mang Inasal threatened as they come within 6 points with Moyani and Cusay launching fastbreak attacks but MS Tablet through Galon, Yu and Morales contained them for the win and an undefeated 4-0 record.

Peer Galon led MS Tablet with 18 points. Joseph Hugo added 17 points, Johnnyson Yu 11 points and Allan Pol Morales 9 points. Davies/ Mang Insal is led by Kenneth Cusay 17 points, Renz Campos 14 points and Ian Moyani 9 points.

Other games saw ELL Cargo defeated team 8, 76-70; BTTHS juniors thrash NHK 76-58; Davies Paint cruise past Chowking, 87-74; Avenue Suite beat Team 10 100-86 and Willtrade/Phoenix and BTTHS juniors battled to a 97 draw.

Next weekend will start the quarterfinal knockout match to determine the opponents of the top 2 teams Willtrade/Phoenix and MS Tablet in the semi final round.
