Absolute Water drowns Colt 45-A A +A

ABSOLUTE Water routed Colt 45, 88-69, as Arnol Laureno drained 34 points while Tanduay Black booked its 1st victory at the expense of Tanduay Ice, 91-76 in the Fil-Sino Asia Brewery Inc. inter-color tournament at BTTHS Po Hang Gym.
Laureño dominated the first quarter with 18 markers leading Absolute to a 26-11 advantage.
Colt 45 outscored Absolute in the next two quarters behind Chibon Uy and Alan Su, but the lead remained at double digit as Michael Ang and Laureño hit eight apiece for a 56-45 lead going to the fourth quarter.
Uy continued to produce for Colt 45 getting support from Derek Sibug but Absolute got a big lift from Keith Banzon's five triples and pulled away to tie their victims at 2-2 in the standings.
Backstopping Laureño were Banzon with 18, Biboy Yap nine, and Freddie Ong six.
Uy paced Colt 45 wih 17, Chua delivered nine, Su, Marc Lo and Edward Uy combined for 24 points, and Sibug had seven pts.
Jose Miguel Montinola, meanwhile sparked Tanduay Black with 34 points to notch its first victory.
Black poured it on in the fourth quarter behind the triumvirate of Montinola, Johnnyson Yu and Ryan Alegario who shared for 21 in the payoff quarter to broke away from a slim 64-63 third quarter lead.
Ice managed to score 13 in the quarter with Carlo Chu getting the lion's share of with eight.
Yu scored 20, Daniel Ong added 12, Alegario shot nine, Badong Eufre picked up eight.
Chu finished with 27, Pao Pao Lim churned in 15, Joel Masadya picked up 14, and Richard Uy with 11.
