Fil-Sino All Asian Basecom a win away from sweeping elims-A A +A

Basecom registered its seventh straight win and is just one win away from sweeping the Class B double elimination round by routing Sweet Crystal 118-82 in the Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Inc. 2nd conference inter-company tournament at Bacolod Tay Tung High School’s Pong Hang gym.
Meanwhile, AACI Transport got a major semis boost when they defeated Class A top seed JSY Transport, 80-70.
Sweet Crystal after taking the first quarter 22-21 saw them dominated by Basecom in the next three quarters as they were outscored by double digit in each quarter 28-14, 33-20 and 36-26.
Chief Superintendent Adonis Rosales sizzled with 36 points, Keith Banzon added 22 points, RJ Iligan hit 21 points, including 15 points in the second quarter. Leonard Kilayko dropped 17 points, Lawyer Jubert Katalbas contributed 11 points; and Arian Chua with 6 points.
Devin Villacruz paced Sweet Crystal with 22 points, backstopped by Chingsan Su 20 points, JP Tan 19 points, Daniel Lo 11 points, and Alberto Dichavez 8 points.
In the second encounter, JSY Transport were shooting the lights out in the first quarter to take the driver’s seat at 31-19 as Ralph Richard Tan knocked in three triples and teammate Rey Pandoro added 10 perimeter points.
AACI Transport slowly crawled their way back as Brian Tan scored 9 points to catch up at the break at 38-all.
AACI Transport rode its momentum and did not let JSY recover as they outscored JSY in the next two quarters to improve to 4-3 and dropping JSY Transport to 5-2.
Arvin Gustilo spearheaded the AACI Transport with 26 points while Frank Madrid picked up 17 points, Bren Tajonera 9 points, Daniel Ong and Joseph Tiu, 6 points each.
Pandoro gave 21 points in a losing effort, Laureño churned in 19 points, Tan finished with 12 points, Johnnyson Yu picked up 8 points and Ryan Alegario with 6 points. (With reports from Stephen Tan)
