Dynamic Football League tourney kicks off today-A A +A

GOVERNOR Alfredo Marañon Jr. and Bacolod City Mayor Monico Puentevella are expected to grace the opening of the Dynamic Football League (DFL) at the Panaad Park and Stadium today.
Marañon will be give his welcome remarks while Puentevella, who is a member of the FIFA Marketing and TV Committee, will give a message to the participants who are the future of Negros Occidental football.
Marañon, Puentevella, and Vice Mayor Greg Gasataya will join other officials who will perform the ceremonial kick prior to the competition.
University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos’ Gyles Encabo of the Rams' Under 16 team will lead the oath of sportsmanship.
Teams in the Under 13 are Apolinario Mabini Elementary School, Bata Elementary School, Don Bosco Technical Institute, ETC La Carlota City College, La Consolacion School, Philippine Normal University (PNU), St. John’s Institute (SJI), St. Scholastica’s Academy (SSA).
Completing the group are Trinity Christian School, last year’s second runner-up Andres Bonifacio Elementary School (ABES), first runner-up University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R), and defending champion University of St. La Salle (USLS).
Opening matches are ABES going up against UNO-R at 8 a.m. with the La Consolacion School-PNU tussle at 9:15 a.m. and the SJI- SSA battle at 10:30 a.m.
Competing for the Under 16 division are the Don Bosco Technical Institute (DBTI), Doña Montserrat Lopez National High School, Negros Occidental High School (NOHS), UNO-R, USLS and the Western Visayas Regional Meet-bound Ramon Torres National High School (RTNHS).
Taking their debut match are UNO-R and USLS at 8 a.m. Doña Montserrat HS and NOHS at 9:15 a.m., and RTNHS versus DBTI at 10:30 a.m.
Tournament chairman is Andrew Infante, with commissioners Russel Olado (U13) and Louie Yasay (U16), and referee assessors Estaniel (U13) and Leo Dayot (U16) supervising the league.
