Rams, Stingers, ABES win DFL opening games

UNIVERSITY of Negros Occidental- Recoletos stung University of St. La Salle, 1-0 in its debut match last Saturday in the U16 of the Dynamic Football League at the Panaad Park and Stadium.

Daniel Mahilum put in the lone goal in the 43rd minute as both sides employed tough defensive plays in the second half – with a scoreless 45 minutes of scrimmage.

Don Bosco Technical-Institute of Victorias City likewise spoiled Bago City’s Ramon Torres National High School debut, 3-1 as Ervin John Bantic opened a quick second minute goal while teammate John Alfred Castañeda added two more in the 25th and 31st minutes. Alfred Joshua Acero scored RTNHS’ lone goal in the 14th minute.

Negros Occidental High School’s Joshua Jalbuena found the back of the net in the 27th minute as Adam Cervanez added two more in the 33rd minutes and 70+2 for a 3-nil win over Dona Monserrat Lopez Memorial High School.

In the U13, defending champion USLS-Integrated School whipped Apolinario Mabini Elementary School, 3-1 behind the two goals of Cyle Miraflores in the 18th and 27th minutes and Ralph Castro’s 38th minute-roller. Joseph Ciocon scored AMES’ lone hit in the 17th minute.

Andres Bonifacio Elementary School debuted with a revolting style hacking UNO-R, 4-2.

Victor Audrei Mapa started the Rebels' victory in the 3rd and 26th minutes while team mates Zarwin Gulmatico and Chris Valderama scored in the 9th and 47th minutes. Mark Cantos and Christian Rufin shock the net's end in the 10th and 34th minutes for the Baby Rams. (HGD)
