DBTI draws UNO-R to top U16 in DFL

DON Bosco Technical Institute-Victorias City (DBTI) forced University of Negros Occidental- Recoletos (UNO-R) to a 1-all draw over the weekend to top the U16 of the ongoing 2014 Dynamic Football League played at the Panaad Park and Stadium.

UNO-R’s Gyles Encabo nailed the opening goal in the 26th minute for a 1-nil advantage at halftime.

DBTI booters came out aggressive in the second half forcing UNO-R to commit error with Joshua dela Cruz’s own goal in the 48th minute.

The Victorias City-based club has 1-1 win-draw card following its 3-1 debut win against Bago City’ Ramon Torres National High School while, UNO-R is at No. 2 with similar record after a stunning 1-nil victory over University of St. La Salle-Integrated School during the opening match.

USLS alongside Negros Occidental High School and RTNHS have 1-1 win-loss slate as Dona Montserrat Lopez Memorial High School in the bottom with two defeats.

Meanwhile, in the U13 Group A, Andres Bonifacio Elementary School led the team standing with a clean 2-0 card as No. 2 St. Scholastca’s Academy evens with (No. 3) UNO-R, (No. 4) St. John’s Institue and (No.5) Philippine Normal University with 1-1 win-lost record as La Consolacion at the bottom of the group with a pair of defeats.

USLS-IS and DBTI remained undefeated in Group B with 2 wins apiece and enjoy the No.1 and No. 2, respectively.

Meanwhile, ABES and Trinity Christian School have 1-1 win loss card at No. 3 and No. 4 as Bata Elementary School and ETC La Carlota City College remained winless.(HGD)
