Servania, Villanueva's future is now in tonight’s Pinoy Pride-A A +A

MANILA – They were bare-chested and stripped to spandex yesterday.
Tonight they are ready and their hands, wrapped in tapes and covered by gloves, will determine their future.
World Boxing Organization Inter-Continental super bantamweight champion Genesis “Azukal” Servania and WBO International super flyweight titlist “King” Arthur Villanueva will ascend to the ring for pride and honor in the “Pinoy Pride XXIV: The Future is Now” at the Solaire Resort and Casino Ballroom.
With their titles at stake, the champions made it to the weight limit in yesterday’s official weigh-in held at Robinsons Galleria in Ortigas, Pasig City.
Servania (23-0, 9 KO’s) registered 121 pounds and will be the main attraction against veteran challenger and former World Boxing Association (WBA) super flyweight king Alexander Muñoz (36-5, 28 KO’s) of Venezuela.
"El Explosivo" weighed 122 pounds but the extra load will not matter for the Barangay Punta Taytay native.
“I have prepared well for this fight and my US training has helped me a lot,” the Bacolod pride said.
Bago City’s Villanueva (24-0, 14 KO’s), who booked 116 lbs, is expected to prevail over Mexican Fernando “Enano” Aguilar, who also registered the same weight, in the third to the last undercard match.
Villanueva said that he is well-prepared for Hernandez but now needs to adjust against Aguilar.
Undefeated ALA prospect “Prince” Albert Pagara (18 wins, 12KOs) will enter the ring tonight after making the 122 lbs limit like his opponent.
The Maasin City-native will face Indonesian Isack Junior (22-2-4 win-draw-loss, 8KOs) in the main supporting bout.
Weigh-in results at Robinson's Galleria event center and schedule are as follows: Escalante City’s Melvin Gumban (116 lbs) vs. Dino Lelis (116 lbs) for an 8 round fight at 116 lbs; Bacolod City’s Royroy Sumugat (127 lbs) vs. Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo (126 lbs) of Bohol for a 6 round match at 126 lbs; Vic Saludar (106 lbs) vs. Philip Luis Cuerdo (106 lbs) for a 6 round battle at 105 lbs.; and Reyme Castillano Aleye of Cuba (132 lbs) vs. Diover Mangaya-ay (133 lbs) for a 6 round at 132 lbs.
