Don Bosco, St. Scho dominate Nopsscea age-group bootfest

DON Bosco Technical Institute (DBTI) of Victorias and St. Scholastica’s Academy (SSA) ruled the 2014 Negros Occidental Private Schools, Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (Nopsscea) age-group football tournament.

Tournament manager Dennis Estaniel said that DBTI won the secondary aspirant boys and 10-under mixed while SSA captured the secondary girls division.

University of St. La Salle-Integrated School finished first runner-up and followed by University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos and La Consolacion School-Gardenville in the Aspirant division.

SSA placed second behind DBTI in the 10-under category while Trinity Christian School and St. John’s Institute finished third and fourth, respectively.

UNO-R fought hard for second place behind SSA in the secondary girls while USLS-IS and LCS-Gardenville took the succeeding places.

Estaniel, a Fifa/AFC regional referee technical instructor and Philippine Football Federation assessor, supervised the tournament. (HGD)
