DAVIES Paint rolled a three-game 954 pinfalls Thursday evening to take the lead with an aggregate of 2,859 in the Negros Occidental High School '96 Trio Tournament at the Super Bowling Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.
Monday Club 1, which tied with Painters at 3-4 positions on Tuesday (1,905 pf) likewise catapulted to the number 2 spot with 2,848 rolling lines of 313-315-315.
Completing the top 4 are ASSFBI Silverado (running second on Tuesday) which toppled 925 pf for a total of 2,833 and OMJ (number one on Tuesday) with 2,832 after scoring 923.
Only the Top Four and two consolation awardees are entitled to team prizes, said James Toga of the organizing committee.
Individual top performers as of this writing are Esso Garcia of Retro Bowlers for highest pinning with 95; Ceasar Sumaylo of ASSFBI Silverado with 160 single, and Edwin Monsarate of Grupo Retirado for highest triple with 370.
Stalking bowlers from 5th to 10th spot which aim to overtake the temporary leaders are ASSFBI (921/2807); Bago Strikers (942/2,794); HTL Team (971/2,777); Retro Bowlers (924/2,757); RJ Star (907/2,747) and SCOOP/I Mart/Chris Sports (845/2,729).
Monday Club 2, which scored Thursday's best triple of 978 on lines of 300-315-363, moved to 13th place with 2,632 behind DRMB/Lacsonian's 2,667 and Negros Daily Bulletin Pinpals' 2,636.
Grupo Retirado is 14th with 2,618; 15th Citihi Strikers (2,599); 16th are the 69ers (2,595) and 17th B56 Industrial Services (2,530). (HGD
