WEST Negros University showed its superiority over St. Benilde School, 40-60 on Sunday and Mansilingan Christian Academy, 80-50 yesterday to match University of Negros Occidental Recoletos 4-0 record in bracket A in the Coca-Cola PBA Youngstars Bacolod leg eliminations at WNU gym in Bacolod City.

Not to be outdone, Bacolod Tay Tung High School burned Tangub Christian Academy, 87-35 yesterday for a 3-0 slate in bracket B as an idle St. John's Institute trails at 2-0.

The Thunderbolts, Falcons, Junior Mustangs and Junior Rams are most likely to figure in the Top Four crossover semifinals on May 5.

In other Sunday matches, TCA beat Trinity Christian School, 68-62 and MCA crushed Big Shots, 82-77.

University of St. La Salle "Team B" made it even at 2-2 by beating Big Shots, 90-51 while its "A" team succumbed to NHOJs, 63-73 yesterday.

NHOJs relied on Edgar Agana's 16 points and Freddie Pacino's 10 markers while the Junior Stingers got 21 from Marcelo Arceo, 13 from Tyrel Nifras, 11 from Rey Oria and 10 from Ezekiel de Manuel.

Coach Rene Cuison's wards led 24-18 in the first canto, trailed 13-16 in the second and tied the La Sallians 12-all in the third. A come-from-behind 24-17 final surge upset Coach Marloni Gonzales as his Junior Stingers failed again in a close contest.

UNO-R and Stallions were still playing as of press time.

Games tomorrow, Thursday, starting at 8 a.m. pit WNU against Stallions; USLS-A versus SJI; USLS-B against SBS; and NHOJs versus TCS.
