BACOLOD Leg champion Bacolod Tay Tung High School will meet Cebu on May 10 for the 2014 Coca Cola PBA Youngstars regional finals in Iloilo City.

Cebu and Iloilo are scheduled on the first day, May 9, at 3 p.m. either at the Ateneo de Iloilo gym or at the University of San Agustin depending on the organizers' confirmation today.

The Thunderbolts of coach Mark Belangel will face Cebu at 1 p.m. on May 10 at Iloilo Sports Complex gym and challenge Iloilo on May 11 at 12 noon, said Jake Azucena, Coke PBA Youngstars Bacolod leg commissioner.

Tay Tung's games are all scheduled at the Sports Complex gym, Azucena added.

BTTHS, which nearly failed to join the local elimination, will rely on its quartet of Miggy Cortez, Jesmar Pedrosa, Errol Pastor and Fritz Tagamolila.

Iloilo and Cebu are no pushovers, and Belangel forsees a close contest in the tournament where the winner earns a ticket to the national finals.

Enroute to the regionals, the Thunderbolts nipped University of Negros Occidental, 95-92 in the semifinal and blasted West Negros University, 74-52 in the championship. (HGD)
