TYING the game has become a habit of Rimyongsu Club of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea as it came from behind and evened its game with FC HTTU of Turkmenistan, 1-all in the first game of last night's AFC President's Cup Group B doubleheader at Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City.

HTTU forward Muhadov Suleyman capitalized on DPR Korea keeper's fumble at the goal's mouth to score after a scoreless first half. Ju Kwang Min lost grasp of the ball and Suleyman happened to be on the right place at the right time.

It did not take long before Ri Hyok Chol returned the favor with a hit seconds later as HTTU made the error of relaxing after they scored. Coach Meredov Rowshen said they tried to win but the Koreans are just too quick to get back especially when they are trailing.

Turkmenistan and Ceres-La Salle now lead the pack with four points (3 for win, 1 for draw), the Koreans have 2, and the Taiwanese, zero.

Patrick Reichelt and Juan Guirado provided the points for the home team’s 2-0 triumph over Ta Tung. Reichelt rammed the ball in the first half while Guirado scored on a header on Beloya's head pass from a corner kick.

Ceres and HTTU will collide on Saturday with the winner assured of a spot in the final stage. The Koreans are heavily favored to beat the Taiwanese and expected to get five points.

Ceres-La Salle Coach Ali Go said they cannot afford to lose. With a draw, both will get five points each and triple tie ensues and goals will decide who qualify.

It is still nobody's game and this makes the last day of AFC more exciting.
