THE University of St. La Salle-Integrated School girls volleyball squad of coach Malot Lozada is on its way to grabbing another championship title in this year’s edition of the annual Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports Cultural & Educational Association (NOPSSCEA) season.
USLS-IS breezed through its quarterfinal and semi-final matches and will wait for its challenger on Sunday, November 15 at the USLS College Covered Court.

The defending champions walloped St. Joseph’s School-La Salle, 25-10, 25-12, last Saturday then dealt St. John’s Institute its only loss in the three-month weekends only competition, 25-12, 25-13.
SJS-LS got back as title contender by eliminating La Consolacion College-Bacolod, 25-16, 25-14.
The STA wards of Leonardo Cabatuan likewise kept their championship aspirations alive after suffering its first setback at the ahnds of SJI, 25-19, 17-25, 6-25 by beating Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod, 25-17, 25-20.
SJS-LS and STA face off on Saturday with the loser ending as 4th placer while the winner takes on SJI. The loser settles for 3rd place while the winner advances to challenge USLS-IS for the crown this Sunday.
Bacolod Christian College of Negros and St. Joseph’s School-La Salle battle for the boys title at 11:00 a.m. this Saturday. In their first encounter BCCN scored a 25-21, 25-19 victory. SJS-LS stayed on championship course by stopping LCC-Murcia at third spot, 25-23, 25-23.
Earlier LCC-Murcia relegated USLS to fourth place with a 25-23, 25-21 win.
