Victory Army, DLNHS, La Carlota win 7-aside titles

VICTORY Army, Domingo Lacson National High School (DLNHS), and La Carlota City age-group football standouts took center stage at the end of Friday's hostilities in the 2010 National 7-Aside Age-Group Football Championship.

The event was staged at the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College of Talisay City and hosted by the Executive Village Football Club headed by Rafael Lizares in cooperation with the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) represented here by general secretary Cyril Dofitas.

Some 80 club teams in both men's and women's divisions participated in the competitions, which came on the heels of the April 24-28 National Women's Football Eliminations Tournament staged at the Panaad pitch of the Panaad Sports and Recreational Park and which drew the participation of some 13 teams in both the U19 and U14 categories coming from Manila, Davao, Iloilo, Cebu, Negros Oriental Football Association (Norfa) and host Negros Occidental represented by Negros Occidental "A" O Hotel and Negros Occidental "B" Danjugan Sanctuary, as well as Negros Occidental All Asia Countertrade in the U14 division.

The Negros Occidental U16 squads were coached by Warren Concepcion assisted by Pail Espinosa and Rinelle De Oca while the U14 side was coached by Jose Reymando Baldava.
