MEMBERS of the Advertising Board did not come up to Baguio last November 4, as earlier announced by the mayor.
Instead, Mayor Reinaldo Bautista Jr. said the AdBoard will be coming up right after the Ad Congress in Subic, Zambales to donate some of the proceeds of the convention to victims of typhoon Pepeng.

He said the group will pay a courtesy call on Benguet Governor Nestor Fongwan and later personally deliver their donations.
Benguet is one of the hardest hit during the typhoon. Several people died in various areas in the province. The biggest death toll was recorded in sitio Kibungan in Barangay Puguis, La Trinidad town.
Although the Ad Congress was not held in Baguio, the mayor iterated the Subic congress will remain a Baguio concept.
He said Baguio will continue to be advertised during the congress, despite having to move to another venue.
Bautista said "the congress facilitators assured me even the opening performances will be that of Baguio and our city is allotted with 20 booths in the congress' market encounter."
He assured through the various media and commercial establishments, this mountain resort's prime tourism industry will be sustained. (Rimaliza Opiña)
