"I have a healthy lead in the championship while Jason Dipasupil will try to clinch the tightly contested group 3 crown against Dennis Aoyong," Anton said.

He stamped his class by topping the third and fourth stages of the racing series also in San Fernando City recently.

The win puts Anton on top of the pole after four races with only one remaining in the series after carting away with the win in the day race at Baksil and the night race in Pias.

Anton won the day race by two seconds and again dominated the night event, stopping the clock seven seconds faster than any other racer.

He only needs to finish in the points now to win a third consecutive Hill Climb crown and stamp his place in Philippine racing history.

Dipasupil of team special stage won both races in group 3, beating the Yokohama-Hornitex-Total tandem of Dennis Aoyong and Alfie Concepcion.

Imay Datu and Frankie Domingo are also expected to fight tooth and nail for the top honors in group 2 of the competition.

Anton added they are expecting a big number of participants in the final stage of the race where he expects racers from Baguio City to dominate the event anew.
