According to Jonathan M. Micua, head of UC College of Hotel and Restaurant Management and Tourism and one of the organizers of Kasalang Filipino, the event aims to spread and expand wedding trade shows all over the country. “The event will help the different wedding planners, coordinators, and suppliers by showcasing their products and services to the public. It will also give the public an idea of the different wedding set-ups and different ways on wedding planning through seminars and exhibits,” Micua added.
“Baguio City is still a prime wedding destination of the Philippines,” this according to Jonathan H. Dionisio, kasal.com representative. Dionisio mentioned that the climate, the presence of wedding suppliers, and the different churches are among the reasons why Baguio is still a prime wedding destination.
Kasalang Filipino is now on its 8th year. It ties up with the 13 key cities in the country. This includes, Cabanatuan, General Santos, Lucena, Baguio, Dumaguete, Pampanga, Zamboanga, Malolos, Davao,Tagaytay, San Fernando, Bacolod, and Cagayan de Oro.
