BAGUIO City Mayor Reinaldo Bautista Jr. last week lauded the city’s Sangguniang Kabataan Federation headed by Gloria Ysabel Vergara de Vera for winning third place in the Outstanding Sangguniang Kabataan Awards and Recognition (Oskar).

The city’s SK was among that of the SKs of Dagupan, Olongapo, Cebu and Davao which were awarded last October 28, during the SK national congress in Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center.

Accordingly, 4,000 members attended the occasion, where they were exhorted by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to continue involving themselves in government programs, especially that of the green Philippines campaign.

The youthful delegates were also asked to get involved, speak up, and be responsible for their actions.

The Baguio SK through Councilor de Vera received a symbolic colorful plaque and a medal for their efforts, from SK Commissioner Jane Censoria Cajes, of the national SK federation. (Julie G. Fianza)
