BAGUIO City is now focusing on rehabilitation after the devastation brought by Typhoon Pepeng (international codename: Parma).
In his weekly media forum, Mayor Reinaldo Bautista Jr. said the city has already prepared a rehabilitation plan, which addressed to all typhoon victims from the city.

The rehabilitation plan was prepared by the Office of City Social Welfare and Development (OCSWD) and was forwarded to the National Housing Authority.
According to the OCSWD report, 301 families were affected by the typhoon with 200 houses damaged and 101 destroyed.
The proposed rehabilitation plan is composed of 10 programs: Core Shelter Assistance Program (CSAP), Emergency Shelter Assistance, Food for Work and Cash for Work for damaged facilities, Supplemental feeding, financial assistance to casualties, financial assistance for injured victims, financial assistance for the Balik-probinsiya program, AICS, capability building on disaster management and livelihood.
A total of P18,135,000 will be spent for the programs.
Twenty-eight families will benefit from the CSAP program, with P70,000 each amounting to P1,960,000.
The funding for the CSAP program will come from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The 200 owners of the damaged houses will receive P10,000 each or P2,000,000 in all; while owners of the 101 destroyed houses will receive P20,000, totaling P2,020,000.
The money will come from the City Government.
The financial assistance for the casualties comes to P2,520,000, including the financial assistance from the Office of the President.
The DSWD will give P195 each day for 10 under the food for work and cash for work program.
One hundred fifty children will benefit from the supplemental feeding for 60 days.
Ten families will benefit from the Balik Probinsiya program with P10,000 each. (Visha Calventas)
