“Masaya kami at nakuha namin yung championship kahit na nahirapan kami sa game na ito kasi malaking adjustment ang ginawa nila sa depensa sa akin,” said Udoba, who also had four blocks to go with his 26 points.
With the score tied at 86, 2:44 left in the game, BCT went to hardworking Udoba scoring seven of his team’s 14 points to score their tenth straight victory since the start of the eliminations and sweeping opposition in the seventh season of Chesaa.
Udoba drew support from Richard Kiaki who had 21 points for the BCT Eagles, while Zaldy Rivera had 18 points with Albert Pay-aw chipping in 11 points.
Data Center looked poised to force a rubber match after leading by six at the close of the first half, 41–47.
From then on, both squads were engaged in a tic-tac-toe battle where either team’s biggest lead was a mere three.
Data Center’s trio of Eric Dulay, Kerubin Gonzaga and Angelo Mendoza led the Spartans with Gonzaga hitting 23 points while Dulay and Mendoza chipping in 20 and 16 points each.
The trio were only limited to two three point shots each, while Valeriano Garcia had 18 markers.
