At the start of the ball game, Buhay Media played catch-up basketball after NCHA posted a seven point lead, 9–2, 7:01 remaining in the first quarter.
The dilemma of the media practitioners even got worse when NCHA fired four straight three points in the middle of the second period. At the half, NCHA posted a 25-point lead, 63–38, to finish the first two quarters of the ball game.
The third period still saw Buhay Media seeking for some offensive power as NCHA continued to score three points from the field, seemingly at will. It was also in this quarter where NCHA posted its highest lead with 33 points, 53–86, with 2:29 remaining in the quarter.
To stop the momentum of NCHA, Buhay Media used its time out to regroup. Off the time out, they trimmed down the lead of NCHA to 25 to finish the third period, 63–88.
Buhay Media continued its rally as they unleashed a 15–2 run at the start of the fourth quarter, 78-90. NCHA was scoreless for the last 3:28 minutes of the final period.
Kerby Rillera and Brandy Dolormente led the rally of Buhay Media scoring most of the team’s 33 points in the final quarter. But the efforts of Rillera and Dolormente were not enough to sustain the surge as NCHA never gave them the chance to stay close.
NCHA answered the rally late in the payoff period bringing back their lead to over 20 points, 82–103, with 3:23 minutes remaining in the game.
