CONCESSIONARES at Burnham Park are appealing to the City Government not to increase rent this year.
There were 65 concessionaires that have signed a petition claiming they could not afford the new rates that the City Environment and Parks Management Office will be imposing soon.

Their income could not compensate the high rate of rent, the affected businessmen said.
They added that they are not protected from competition with the onset of the Market Encounter, ne of the activities of the Panagbenga. What are sold by concessionaires are also sold in the market encounter booths.
