TABUK CITY, Kalinga –- Applicants for business registrations and permits enjoy the improved and speedier transaction with the newly opened on-line business registry kiosk at the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), here.
The facility is linked to DTI data bank through the web that paves easier and time-saving transactions compared to the previous manual registration system.
Josephine Daliyong of DTI provincial office said the project has been installed in all provincial stations nationwide under DTI’s Philippine Business Registry Program, in line with the administration's thrust to cut processing time in business registrations and permits to promote small enterprise.
The program, according to Daliyong, provides online system in business registration where applicants find access to other government data through the Internet.
Processing of business registrations are done under the system of virtual convergence making available to applicants the other services of agencies, cutting time in processing of other requirements, Daliyong said.
Through this online registration system, applicants could access files of other government agencies and can now secure Tax Identification Number (TIN), enroll with the PhilHealth and acquire coverage with the Social Security System (SSS).
Daliyong added the new program is part of the continuing effort of the department to provide easier and faster transaction in business registration in support to President Aquino’s marching order on eliminating “red tape” in government processes.
Daliyong said the system is an improved pattern of the convergence services formed under the one-stop center of the National Economic Research and Business Action Center, earlier established at the City Hall.
She said the online business registration program was launched last month in the National Capital Region and now being linked to all DTI provincial stations. (Larry Lopez)
