Residency rules will also be strictly followed this year, according to Cayabas adding the Chessa does not want to have repeat of what happened in last year's volleyball and basketball tournaments.

A one year residency will be applied to transferees while a one semester residency will take effect for returning Chesaa players who stopped schooling.

Cayabas added players coming from the Baguio-Benguet Educational Athletic League who have transferred from a Chesaa participating schools will not be allowed to play despite earning the required residency.

"This is to level the playing field," added Cayabas.
