BCNHS asserted its dominance over Easter right at the start of the ballgame with a 19–0 blast at the close of the first period in the tournament backed by Club 7882 SLU–Boys High School, Gary Lee Leighton, Smart Telecommunications, Leverson Brothers, Chittick Fire and Security Services and Connex.

Easter College High School failed to recover and earned its first defeat in two starts after a one point win over SLU-LHS team C previously.

In the open bracket, Tiptop held on to its defense and escaped Lepanto, 95–91, to score its first victory in as many outings.

Lepanto was off to a good start in the first half of the game leading by as much as three in the first quarter, 19–22, and by a mere point at the close of the second quarter, 45–46.

Tiptop then made its move in the second half after erecting a six point advantage over Lepanto, 86–81 midway in the fourth period before Lepanto made it a three point ball game, 85–88 with 4:48 ticks left on the clock.

With both teams failing to convert in their succeeding plays and with Tiptop still atop by one, 91–90, Lepanto fell short of converting its next play again giving Tiptop scored another three crucial points to seal the victory.

In the other game, Philex edged Palarong Pambansa bound Sweetmates, 89–77.
