Martinez, during the opening, which was attended by guests and all Foghorn employees from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao who came all the way to the city to witness the momentous occasion in the history of the 20-year-old company, said the opening marks a milestone for Foghorn.
Baguio City was chosen as the first site of the azalea residence considering the city’s tag as a source of collective happiness for families. “Many people visit Baguio never alone, they come in groups of friends or as a family.”
The cold weather as well as the place itself that gives everybody a very good feeling and experience was the deciding factor that led to the decision to construct the first one in Baguio.
Azalea, the name chosen for the resort-hotel of Foghorn Inc., speaks much of Baguio - a city of flowers.
Foghorn’s first venture into the business took many years, which Dullah Lipardo explained, “We have been into socialized housing for low and middle-income families. Even if they are not rich, they are also entitled to vacation and they also want to go for a vacation, which made the company decide to go into accommodation business which will give the occupants a homey atmosphere as each of the 99 suites are provided with a living area, a sofa bed and a flat screen television, cable connection and amenities like dining table and chairs, kitchen appliances and utensils, coffee and tera-making facility, queen-sized beds. These amenities allow occupants to have a feel of the home while on vacation and gives them the opportunity to cook and prepare their food especially in Baguio where we all want to taste the fresh vegetables offered in the market,” Lipardo said.
Azalea residences-Baguio has 46 deluxe suites, 17 one-bedroom suite, 33 two-bedroom suites and 3 three-bedroom suites, all provided with sofa beds with the masters bedrooms equipped with bath tubs. Azalea residence Baguio is twenty minutes of leisure walk to the city proper and the same time to the other direction leading to the famous Wright park, Camp John Hay, Mansion and five minutes to Botanical garden.
