JCI Baguio Joint Induction

ANOTHER year to look forward to in the world of Jayceeism as the local organization recently conducted a joint induction of the 2012 set of officers at the Baguio Convention Center.

The JCI Baguio Senate IPP JCI senator Taggy Tagudar relinquished his post to incoming president JCI senator Monch David with JCI Baguio senator Rudz Paraan as the secretary-general and JCI Baguio senators Beverly Montenegro, Roselle del Prado, Vanny Roncal and PP Romy David as Board of Directors, JCI senator Bong Magsino as vice president and JCI senator Rommel Alcid as the Treasurer.

The 2012 JCI Baguio Senate officers were inducted into office by JCI senator Antonio Cerilles who is also the current JCI Senate national president. JCI senator Cerilles is the present governor of Zamboanga del Sur. He became the representative of the province and was also the DENR secretary during the Presidency of Joseph Ejercito Estrada.

The presidency of the local female chapter was turned-over from JCI Baguio Sunflower member Renee Taguibos to JC Shirley Balantac the other officers include executive vice president Janelle Acosta, VP for External Affairs Ma. Elizabeth Calalo, VP for Internal Affairs Melanie Saro, secretary Regine Tibong, treasurer Janine Babsa-ay. Board of Directors includes Jessica Bilat (Community), Grace Cada (Business), Elvie Roales (Internationalism) and Scarlet Taguibos (Individual). Legal counsel is Ruth Bawayan and the commissioners include Lydia Tibong (publication), Josephine Rullan (trainings) and Jeahd Rowe Mata (public relations).

The JCI Baguio Inc. president Jaynette de Guzman passed the gavel to JCI member Ron Perez, executive vice president JCI member Arnold Quitasol, VP Internal JCI member Bryan de Guzman, VP External JCI member Hail Ulysses Palafox Battad, chapter secretary-general JCI member Aurelio Cabato Jr., chapter treasurer JCI member Michael Dunn Bautista, auditor JCI member Jefferson “Jaypee” Pating, director for Individual JCI member Ferdinand Naoe Tafaleng, director for Community JCI member Ernesto Nino Bondoc, director for Business and Management JCI member Richard Bugtong, director for National/International JCI member Eric Roxas.

The charging of officers was administered by Taguibos being the VP for the Ilocandia Region after which, JCI member and Area 1 VP Cecilia Reyes inducted the 2012 local organization officers into office.

The ceremony went on with the speech of San Juan City, Manila representative Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito, who is the JCI Philippines past national president.

Members of JCI Baguio, Inc. and JCI Baguio Sunflower and its supporters were likewise recognized with plaques and certificates and among them were lawyer Angelo Valencia, JCI Baguio senators Reynaldo Bautista Sr., Taggy Tagudar, Monch David, Edgardo Nevada, Peter Rey Bautista, Jun Tabanda, Bong Magsino, Arnel Delenela, Christine Garcia, Roselle del Prado, Vany Roncal, Bebs Montenegro and Romy David, Bernard Demot, JCI Baguio, Inc. member JC Butch Garcia, JCI members Marie Janelle Acosta, Janine Babsa-ay, Mary Grace Cada, Melanie Saro, Nelia Sumalag, Lydia Tibong, Mariel Tablac.

Also given recognition were JCI members Jessica Bilat, Jeahd Rowe Mata, Josephine Rullan, and Scarlet Taguibos, Regine Tibong.

Most Outstanding Project Chairperson Awards were given to JCI members Elvie Bilog-Roales for her public health project which garnered the Best Public Health Program Award in the National Convention and Ma. Elizabeth Calalo for her sports development program which won the Area Conference Best Sports Development Program Award.

JCI member and IPP Shirley Balantac was recognized for winning the Most Outstanding Member of the JCI Philippines in the recent national convention in Zamboanga.

Aside from the speakers and guests of honor, the ceremony was graced by JCI members from JCI San Juan Pinaglabanan, QC Capitol, Manileña, Marikina Sapatos, Marilaw, Malolos, Davaoeña Dabadaba, Pagadian Bayanima, Iloilo Ilang Ilang, Cebu-Mactan, Kabankalan Molasses, Kabankalan Bangkal, Bohol Chocolate Hills, Cebu-Sinulog, Cebu Inc, Legazpi, Mabalacat, Angeles City Culiat, Lingayen Bagoong, Dagupan Bangus, Dagupan, Inc., Binmaley Sigay, Hundred Island, QC Sampaguita, Marikina Marikit, Makati Princess Urduja, Mandaluyong, Cainta, Ilocandia, San Fernando Saluyot, Naguilian Basi and Bauang, Inc., among others.
