Silay City, step up and villages to Helsinki and Kansai

THERE will be villages to Helsinki, Finland and Kansai, Japan on June 28 to July 25, 2013 and July 21 to August 17, 2013 respectively. These villages have been bid by the Childrens’ Summer International Villages (CISV) Baguio Chapter headed by President Bing Bangaoet during the recently held National Board Meeting last October 5 to 7 in Talisay City, Negros Occidental. Each village shall be composed of two girls and boys from ages 11 to 12 and a male adult leader for Helsinki and a female adult leader for Kansai.

This December 27 to January 18, 2013, Step Up (formerly known as Summer Camp), a 21day camp for ages 14 years old shall be held at Ating Tahanan here in Baguio City. Genie Abiad, the Camp Director expects 9 delegations (consisting of two boys and two girls and an adult leader) from Brazil, Canada, Finland, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, New Zealand, Sweden and the Philippines.

A local mini-camp shall also be held in Paradiso Beach Resort for ages 10 -13 years old this October 27 to 30. Delegates shall come from the various schools here in Baguio City. This will be spearheaded by Camp Director Glo Leal. For more inquiries contact 09178143709. (Brenda Lee A. Villanueva)
